REGION 4-3A

Yesterday the TSSAA released the proposed football regions for the next two seasona 2015-2016.  They are scheduled to be voted on next Thursday November 13! 
Sequatchie County along with Grundy County have been slotted into Region 4! (See below)

Region 4-3A

Cannon County  (Woodbury)
DeKalb Countyl (Smithville)
Grundy County (Coalmont)
Sequatchie County (Dunlap)
Smith County (Carthage)
Upperman  (Baxter)

There is talk that York Institute could petition to be returned to Reg. 4 instead of Region 2 that they have been placed.  

It was thought that SCHS would be placed in Region 3 (see below)
Region 3-3A
Chattanooga Christian School (Chattanooga)
East Ridge (Chattanooga)
Notre Dame  (Chattanooga)
Red Bank  (Chattanooga)
Signal Mountain  (Signal Mountain)
The Howard School (Chattanooga)

It is my opinion that this new region is a good one for not only the Indians but Grundy County as well for number of reasons.   One thing good about this is it should allow for traditional games with Bledsoe Co., Marion Co., South Pittsburg and Whitwell to continue.   In case you are wondering Bledsoe County is dropping down to 2A.
