Notes on 2011 Schedule

The 2011 Sequatchie County Football Schedule contains five teams that made it to the playoffs last fall including two 2010 State Champions in South Pittsburg and Signal Mountain. The season kicks off with the Indians hosting the Alvin C. York Institute on August 19th in what has come to be called Week 0. The Dragons appear on the regular season Indians schedule for the first time since 1990. The Indians will travel down to South Pittsburg in Week 3. The Pirates making there first appearance on the schedule since the 2005 Season. With The Indians season opening a week early on Week 0 they will get a week off during Week 9 before they wrap the regular season schedule by hosting Signal Mountain in Week 10. The Eagles however will not be able to defend there 2A State Title this season as they have moved up from District 6-A and will join the Indians as a member of District 7-AA and will compete in the 4A State Playoffs this season.
