The Sequatchie County Indians Football team wrapped up Spring Practice this afternoon with the second annual Purple & Gold game at Indians Stadium the game was played with 10 minute quarters with a continues clock running except inside the 2 minute warning. The Indians team was split into two evenly matched teams of around 30 players each and players didn't let up any just because they were facing friends and teammates as some big hits was recorded in the game and several Indians were shaken up including upcoming Senior Purple team QB Brennan Wilson who had to leave the game in the second quarter with what appeared to be a slight concussion. That left only one QB on roster (Junior to be) Hunter Lewis for both teams as (Sophomore to be) QB Logan Summers was setting out of the game after being banged up in practice earlier this week.
Lewis had to change jerseys after every possession to Quarterback both squads and got fatigued toward the end of each half. The defenses played solidly for both sides. The Gold Team won by the score of (9-8) on a Saftey, Touchdown and Extra point kick by the other Martinez (Lupe's brother). I can't remember who scored the touchdowns I think it was Lewis and Junior to be running back Justis Stewart with a long run.
