Stewart runs over the Chargers on his way to 1,000!

The Sequatchie County Indians win there final game of the regular season by beating the McMinn Central Chargers 42-7 en-route to a (7-3) season.

The Indians had the chance to finish the season with three 1,000 yard rushers and they accomplished that goal as Senior running back Justis Stewart went over 200 yards on the night to get his 1,000 yards joining fellow Senior Hunter Lewis & Junior Jerry Fain.

Stewart made sure he was going to get enough yards by scoring on a runs of 93, 27 & 30 yards. Four touchdowns in all on the night. Lewis scored on a 76 yard run in the second and 4 yards in the 3rd to go over a 100 yards in the game. Freshman running back Jackson Hamblen wrapped up the Indians scoring in the 4th quarter with a 22 yard run in what was a nice drive by the Indians JV squad that consists of mostly Freshmen.

Following Hamblen's score McMinn Central returned the kickoff for a touchdown.

The Indians now move on to the playoffs next Friday night. It's just a matter of the opponent and location.
