What is a 7-on-7 scrimmage or passing tournament?
I have heard a few ask this over the past week or so and its kinda self explanatory instead of a regular scrimmage or game situation where both teams have 11 players on the field.
In 7-on-7 each team only has 7 players without the offense or defensive lineman with one exception being the offensive center. On Offense it usually consists of (1) Offensive Lineman the Center to snap the ball the (2) Quarterback, (3 & 4) Running back/Fullback (s), (5) Tight End and (6 & 7) Two Receivers.
This can be changed on the offense as long as you have the correct number of eligible receivers up to five total (1) running back and (4) receivers.
On defense you only have Linebackers and Defensive backs usually (3) LB's & (4) DB's.
