About Marion County
Colors: Purple and White
Marion County comes into the game after a big win on the road at York Institute (34-0). The warriors are (2-1) in region 3-2A and (7-2) overall.
Marion County like Sequatchie County is in there first season with a new head coach. The Warriors are coached by Troy Boeck who is in his first year as a head coach.
This game has big implications on how the playoffs will shake out for both teams for next week as both teams have a shot at finishing second in the region, however the Indians are not guaranteed a playoff spot unless they win. While the series between these two valley rivals will continue this game will also mark the last time that Marion County and Sequatchie County will face each other as region opponents as Marion County with the new TSSAA Classifications next season will be playing the reguler season in 1A and going into 2A during the playoffs while Sequatchie County will be playing a 2A schedule and moving into 3A for the playoffs.
