Sequatchie Co. moves to 4-0!!

The Sequatchie County INDIANS move to 4-0 for the first time since 1996 with a 27-7 win over the Whitwell Tigers!!



On great night for football and Homecoming for the Sequatchie County Indians. Sequatchie County kicks off to the Tigers to start the game and Whitwell takes the opening kickoff and returns 85 yards for the touchdown and with PAT the score is Whitwell = 7 - Sequatchie Co.= 0.

The Indians take the Tigers kickoff and drive the field scoring on a 42 yard pass from quarterback (junior) Brennon Wilson to sophomore receiver Shawn Cooley the extra point kick by (junior) Lupe Martinez is good and the score is tied 7-7.

The Indians force the Tigers to punt on there next possession and Wilson hooks up this time with (junior) Mitch Cordell on a 48 yard touchdown pass. The PAT is blocked and at halftime Sequatchie County leads Whitwell 13-7.

The Indians score in the 3rd quarter on a 6 yard run by (junior) Brandon Dykes the PAT by Martinez is good and the score after the 3rd quarter is Sequatchie County leading 20-7.

The Indians get the final points of the game on a 20 yard run by Dykes the PAT by Martinez was good and the final score was Sequatchie County 27, Whitwell 7.

Interesting note Martinez kicks his final two kickoffs through the end zone for touchbacks.
