The Sequatchie County Junior Varsity Indians hosted the Cannon County JV Lions tonight and came away with a 14-8 victory.
The Indians JV team is made up of mostly Freshmen and Sophomores as well as upperclassmen who see little or no action in Friday nights game.
The Indians scored in the first on what appeared to be around a 40-45 yard run by (freshman) Shane Yother. The two point conversion was no good.
(I think) the second quarter touchdown was also on a run by Yother. The two point conversion run was good by (Sophomore) Justis Stewart.
(senior) Rhyan Sutherland and (Freshman) Eli Stout both had interceptions at key times Sutherland's early in the game around the three yard line. Stout's interception was with under a minute left in the game at around the 10-15 yard line to seal the win over the Lions.
Score by Quarter.
