The Midway Green Wave come into this Friday's game with a record of (3-1) overall and (2-0) out of Region 2-1A. The Green Wave defeated the Sequatchie County Indians last season 48-3. On there way to a Region Championship and a (11-2) season. Midway lost 42-14 in the 3rd round of the playoffs to Hampton the team South Pittsburg defeated 49-28 in the semifinals in route to there State Championship.

Midway was picked tied for 1st in the preseason with the Oneida Indians for the region 2-1A championship. Oneida is (5-0) and is ranked 5th in this weeks Tennessee AP 1A poll. Midway is scheduled to travel to Oneida next week for the what should be the 2-1A region championship. The Sequatchie County Indians may be getting the Green Wave at the right time if they happen to be looking ahead to next weeks match up with the Indians from Oneida.

Midway won last week 37-0 over visiting Coalfield (1-4).

The Green Wave lead at halftime 28-0. The Green Wave ended that game with a 323-152 difference in total yards. Midway is a running team with several very good backs as well as a running quarterback in Quinton Pressley who finished second in the game in rushing yards with 8 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown. He also put the ball in the air for 3 of 5 passing with 80 yards and a touchdown.

Running back Will Poe had 4 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown while fellow tailback Ray Robinson finished with 10 carries for 39 yards and two scores.
